Majorca hiking adventures and bird watching
Pollensa and the surrounding areas offer some of the best walks on the whole of Mallorca. For those interested in Bird watching the Boquer valley, which is a 15 minute walk from the sea front of Puerto Pollensa, is a wonderful area for seeing many species of birds. It is a favourite place for migratory birds in the spring and autumn - Warblers, Flycatchers, Woodchat Shrikes, Bee-eaters, Hoopoes, Crag Martins, Booted Eagles, Ospreys and Falcons can often be seen. In addition, Mallorca is home to birds such as Black Vulture, Eleonora's Falcon, Audouin's Gull, Moustached Warbler and Marmora's Warbler which are all very rare or difficult to see in the rest of Europe.
